Who I Am
My name is Ellen Price and I'm a qualified accountant and business consultant (see my credentials below). I have many years of accounting experience in various economic sectors including manufacturing, not-for-profit and primary production. I'm also a very experienced and competent user of small and large computerised accounting software and ERP systems.

My Goal
I'm sure you already have an accountant: one that does your month-end reporting, your tax return and BAS statements and provides you with an up-to-date profit and loss statement and balance sheet, but how useful are those things to you on their own? In other words, do you receive any analysis of the results, or recommendations of ways you can plan for times ahead or become more competitive? Do you know which of your products are the most profitable, or why your operating costs have increased? What are your sustainability targets and are you meeting them? Do you have a budget or a business plan? Are you having trouble with your software or need some instruction in using a new app?
That's where I come in. I'm not here to replace your current accountant and the regular services that they provide. Instead, I want to use my expertise and experience to support primary production and other business owners on the ground, at the operations level.
My goal is to provide high-quality business consulting, sustainability advisory and accounting services, analysis and insights - and even skills - to local business owners including farmers. I want my clients to feel confident, informed and empowered to make important decisions. I also understand that you're probably doing most of your own bookkeeping and there are days when you just need a hand because you can't reconcile the bank account or you need some help to create some new general ledger expense accounts. You need someone who's willing to come over and sort things out - while you get back to work!

What I Do
Here are a few examples of ways I can add value to your business :
- Start-up business advice (eg. business structure advice, registration, choosing a domain host and more)
- Registered ASIC agent services
- Cashflow modelling, budgeting and forecasting
- Software implementation, training and troubleshooting (including MYOB and Xero as well as ERP systems)
- Detailed analysis of your numbers with recommendations for improvement
- Advice on sustainability metrics. This one is so relevant right now, it has its own tab.
- Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and models
Most importantly, I understand how busy you are and so my services are mobile. That way, you don't need to lose time travelling into town and back to see me. Instead, you can get straight back to work. I can either come to your property, your workplace or an agreed public workspace.**
Finally, I hold workshops on topics that you will find helpful in running your business. On the Contact page you'll find a space where you can add your details if you'd like to be notified when there is a workshop coming up.
So...put the kettle on! I'll be right over.
